Privacy Policy

PinguWater is built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect or store your personal drinking data, health information, or personal details on our servers. Your data lives on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account — which only you can access.

This policy explains what minimal data we do process and how we protect your privacy.

We collect minimal data to operate and improve the App:

• Anonymous analytics: Aggregate, non-identifiable usage data such as feature usage frequency. This data cannot be traced back to individual users.

• Crash reports: Anonymous crash logs to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

• Subscription status: We verify your subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not process or store your payment information.

All personal data — including your drink logs, daily goals, streaks, settings, and history — is stored exclusively on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework.

We have no access to data stored in your iCloud account. iCloud data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. You can delete all your data at any time from within the App settings.

If you grant permission, PinguWater reads from and writes water intake data to Apple Health (HealthKit). This integration is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Health data is processed locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising purposes.

Subscriptions and payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card information. Apple's privacy practices govern all payment transactions. You can manage your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings.

We use anonymous, aggregate analytics to understand how features are used and to improve the App. This data does not include personal information, specific drink logs, health data, or any information that could identify you individually. Analytics data cannot be linked to any individual user.

PinguWater does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs. Apple's services (iCloud, HealthKit, App Store) are subject to Apple's own privacy policies.

PinguWater is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will promptly address it.

You have the right to:

• Delete your data: Use the "Delete All Data" option in App Settings to remove all locally stored data.

• Disable iCloud sync: Turn off iCloud sync in App Settings to prevent data syncing to iCloud.

• Revoke Health access: Disable HealthKit integration in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
